In August I was reading fantasy comics, which mostly means I was reading Bill Willingham comics. Or comics Bill Willingham created that were written by other people. Or comics created by other people that Bill Willingham wrote. Here’s a look at my list for the month.
Fairest Vol. 3: The Return of the Maharaja: There was a misprint in my copy that duplicated a number of pages. I got the gist of it, but I’d like to read the complete version. I ended up taking my copy back to the comic shop. There they opened the only other copy on the shelf, which had the same misprint. I ended up getting store credit.
Fairest Vol. 4: Of Men and Mice
Fairest Vol. 5: The Clamour for Glamour
Thessaly: Witch for Hire
The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 1: The Faust Act.
September’s challenge is “Outside Your Comfort Zone,” but I’m considering skipping it. Last year that translated to “Read a bunch of the crappy Dynamite comics I’ve gotten through Humble Bundle.”
I’m mostly thinking I’ll skip because I just started reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, and that sounds like a more enjoyable month of reading than “Eva vs. The Booty Shorts,” or whatever other comic I would never read normally.
