My October comics reading list

A little over a year ago I started participating in monthly comic book reading challenges on a website I visit regularly. Each month has a different theme, like sci-fi, fantasy, award-winning comics and nine other categories,

In the first year of the challenges I read 1,017 comics, though that’s not counting any comics that didn’t fit that month’s theme. I wasn’t going to wait several months to read my Walking Dead issues so they would count.
I’ve decided that at the end of each month I will also post my monthly lists here. There’s some junk on this list; I’ve bought several Humble Bundles, and for the every good comic there’s usually some “Eva vs. Limbo” or whatever the horrible Chaos Comics are called. But a big part of why I’m doing this is to cut down on my backlog, including some of the shitty comics in my digital collection.
So here’s October, which was horror-themed. November is humor books, which I’ll be filling with a lot of Carl Barks/Don Rosa Ducks books.

Sadly, I didn’t get the Swamp Thing run finished. I’ve had it in my collection for more than a decade, with most of the issues signed by artist Phil Hester. I realized this week that the second to last issue, 169, is missing. I guess I’ll have to replace it to find out how it all ends.
